Kia Syros Debuts with Segment-First Features and Advanced Safety Tech

Hyderabad: Kia India has launched the all-new Syros, positioning it between the compact and mid-size SUV segments. Priced competitively at Rs8.99 lakh, the Syros takes inspiration from Kia’s premium models-the EV9 and Carnival- offering a bold design, cutting-edge technology, and premium comfort tailored for Indian consumers.

The Kia Syros introduces segment-first Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates, allowing 16 controllers to be updated remotely without a dealership visit-an innovation typically seen in luxury vehicles.

Enhancing the connected car experience, Kia Connect 2.0 offers over 80 smart features, including Kia Connect Diagnosis (KCD), which enables remote vehicle diagnostics, and Kia Advanced Total Care (KATC), which proactively alerts users about essential services such as maintenance and tire replacements.

Designed for superior comfort, the Syros boasts a 2,550mm wheelbase, a 76.2cm (30-inch) Trinity Panoramic Display, and several luxury features, including:

• Sliding & Reclining 60:40 Split Rear Seats for flexible space management.

Engine Options & Variants

Kia Syros will be available in two engine options:

1. 1.0L Smartstream Turbo Petrol (120PS, 172Nm)

2. 1.5L CRDi Diesel (116PS, 250Nm)

Both engines come with manual and automatic transmission options. The SUV is offered in four trims-HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+-with eight color choices, including Glacier White Pearl, Intense Red, Imperial Blue, and more.

Sustainable Design & Customer-Centric Innovation

Kia has also introduced flexible ownership programs, including My Convenience Secure (covering selected wear & tear parts) and My Convenience Plus (combining maintenance, extended warranty, and roadside assistance). The company is also offering an extended warranty and a Scratch Care Program, providing free repair for one scratch within the first year.

Bookings for the Kia Syros are now open at Kia dealerships across India and on the official Kia website, with a minimum payment of Rs25,000. Customers can opt for ADAS features at an additional Rs80,000 on the top trim.
